With a chance to clinch the club’s first-ever Players’ Shield, Louisville City FC coach Danny Cruz made five changes to his starting lineup for Saturday’s 7 p.m. matchup with Indy Eleven at Carroll Stadium.
LouCity would secure the USL Championship’s best regular season record and a No. 1 overall playoff seed with a victory. Or, if the boys in purple draw, they’d still clinch the Players’ Shield should second-place Charleston Battery drop points Saturday.
Starting the in back against Indy, Arturo Ordóñez returns to the starting 11 joining Kyle Adams and Sean Totsch, who line up in front of goalkeeper Damian Las.
Cruz also swapped both his wingbacks from Wednesday’s win over Miami FC, seeing Amadou Dia (left) and Aiden McFadden (right) slot in for Jake Morris and Manny Perez.
Taylor Davila and Elijah Wynder maintain their starting roles in the midfield, while the front three features Ray Serrano along with newcomers Phillip Goodrum and Sam Gleadle.
LouCity vs. Indy Eleven is set to air locally on MyTV 58, WDRB+ and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7. CBS’ Golazo Network will carry national streaming coverage.
