Louisville City FC announced today that the club will partner with SeatGeek, a leading mobile-focused ticket marketplace, to make the company the club’s primary ticket platform beginning in 2018.
SeatGeek Enterprise, the company’s primary ticketing platform, will bring LouCity supporters a multitude of new features designed to provide a more efficient, simpler way to access and manage their tickets. The system will allow fans to purchase tickets on a number of different ticketing sites and mobile apps, with the ability to securely sell or transfer tickets when needed.
“We are thrilled to work with a ticketing partner in SeatGeek that aligns with our goal of providing the best fan buying experience in the USL,” said Dave Walkovic, Director of Ticket Sales at LouCity. “As we explore every avenue in connecting with our Season Ticket Members, SeatGeek’s proven track record and efficiency will provide our supporters with the most direct route to connect with the club.”
SeatGeek will add a number of integral features to make the fan experience more efficient on desktop and mobile, simplifying the purchasing process to just a few taps. This partnership will also allow LouCity supporters to easily transfer tickets via text or through the SeatGeek app when heading to a match, all free of charge.
“Louisville City is an innovator in the world of soccer and a perfect partner for SeatGeek,” said Jeff Ianello, EVP of SeatGeek Enterprise. “We’re excited to continue to grow the size of the LouCity faithful by making it easier than ever for fans to discover and watch the current USL champions.”
Moving forward, the SeatGeek Enterprise platform will improve accessibility to seats at Slugger Field, which held more than 14,500 fans for the 2017 USL Cup in November. SeatGeek Enterprise already serves as the ticketing platform for more than 500 organizations on four continents.
Well-known clubs including the MLS’s Seattle Sounders and Sporting Kansas City, as well as a growing number of English Premier League teams, already rely on SeatGeek Enterprise to delight their fans. SeatGeek most recently announced a partnership with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans.
Louisville City FC is the first USL club to adopt the SeatGeek Enterprise platform.
