2024: Semmle returns to LouCity for his second professional season.
Last season: Semmle inked his first professional contract with LouCity in the offseason after trialing with Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids. He earned the starting role between the posts, making 34 appearances en route to setting a new USL Championship record for rookie clean sheets with 13.
Before Louisville City FC: Semmle transferred to Marshall for his junior season. In the spring of 2021, he played all but 45 minutes of the Thundering Herd’s national title campaign, leading the NCAA with 11 shutouts while boasting a 0.380 goals against average. During his senior year, Semmle and Marshall advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament before the Rapids selected him 41st overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft. Prior to Marshall, Semmle played his freshman season at Barton Community College in Kansas and sophomore season at Monroe College in New York.
