Name: John Neary
Season Ticket Holder Since 2020
What is your Origin Story?
“I was living in Munich, Germany when Louisville City FC was founded in 2014. Being a life-long soccer fan (and sometimes player), and loving the European football (soccer) culture, when I decided in 2019 to relocate back to the Louisville area, I was excited to learn from my family that Louisville had a professional soccer team. Before I even moved back to the Louisville area in December 2019, I had already purchased my season tickets for the 2020 season and was excited to support a local team. I didn’t fully recognize at the time what a great team this was and how tremendously supportive this city is for soccer, but having experienced it now for 5 years as a season ticket member has been one of the best experience of having moved back to this area.”
What is your favorite part of game day at Lynn Family Stadium?
“The entire game day experience is fantastic. From the excitement one experience when walking from the parking lot, grabbing some concessions on the way to the seats, to the player walk-around after the game, it’s all a great experience. But my favorite is the light show and celebration after each goal, and being part of the enthusiasm generated by all the fans in the stadium.”
Why do you prefer coming to games vs. watching on TV?
“The in-person experience of the enthusiastic fans in the stadium. And to experience the amazing Lynn Family Stadium.”
What would you say to someone who is thinking about getting season tickets?
“Louisville City FC is one of the best experiences this city has to offer. This city has always had a strong interest in soccer, and now having a professional soccer team generates significant pride in this city. Lynn Family Stadium is a top-notch facility, the Louisville City FC is a top-notch club, and both are something of significant value to this city, something to be proud of, and worthy of the support of this community.”

“Our family loves soccer. We love playing soccer and watching on television, but we love live soccer the best! With City and Racing, it’s so great to have such high level competition right in our own backyards. From the product on the field to the amenities in the stadium for families, matches at Lynn Family Stadium are top flight.”
What is your favorite part of game day at Lynn Family Stadium?
“Our family loves to get to the park early to take in pre-game warmups, get a head start on the concession and merchandise sales, and settle into our seats to prepare for the match. Our 8 year old loves mixing it up with the bigger kids on the small pitch right behind the scoreboard. Our kids also love how approachable the players are, and how generous they are with their time giving autographs or chatting about soccer.”

The ticket managers with the club are easy to work with and have facilitated our requests in a timely and responsive manner.
